feeling blue...and it's great

I wrote a feature for the winter issue of Victorian Homes called
Winter Blues, Icy Hues
"let your home shimmer with vintage blue and silver all season long"

This story was the inspiration for this section of my shop all dressed up for the winter holiday. It may covered in a wash of icy blue hues...but it is certainly not icy cold here on Sanibel Island!
Enjoy the tour...

Looking for starfish...?
Head to my website for lots of goodies...

There are a few decoupage tin buckets left...

Do you love sea glass...?

I really love the mixing of the seasons!
It's fun to see snowmen and seashells on the table and sleds and starfish next to the front door.
It makes me smile to blend my things from the hills of West Virginia with the treasures I find here on my little island.
This is winter for me...
and I hope you are enjoying winter wherever you may be!

  1. Hi Melinda! This is my first time commenting on any blog but I just had to write & tell you how much I LOVE your blog. I used to do store displays for a living & your posts on your shop just blow me away. But what I really want to do is to thank you for all the time you put into each post for our enjoyment. So thank you so very much & I look forward to many more.

    1. Hi Pam! I am so tickled that you not only like the post but that you took the time to post such a kind comment! I really appreciate your thoughtful words and I wish you many blessings and happiness. Hugs from Sanibel Island!!!

  2. Melinda ~ you make everything look so beautiful! You have an artist's eye and a dreamer's soul. :) Just one of the things I adore about you, girl! ♥ Happy winter to you - and we'll see you in a couple months!
