special souvenirs

Some might consider these charming little treasures kitsch.
Maybe so...but I think beach themed vintage souvenirs are some of the most special summer inspired collectibles!
They can range from old postcards to bathing beauties to vintage swimming suits. They are all equally exciting to find and fun to display. This collection features pieces from the 1920's through the 1950's and the pink and green color palette is fabulously feminine. Enjoy...

old bathing suits and boat oars...

tiny bathing beauty figurines...

vintage tablecloths...

handkerchiefs...

metal toys...

postcards...

even broken bits are as charming as can be...

travel camper birdhouse...

and my favorite girl of all...

I think that there are times when collectors become too
focused on the value of a collection.
To me the thrill of the hunt and the joy each piece gives is priceless. Collecting anything...including vintage souvenirs...should put a smile on your face.
There is no better reason in the world
to  set out in search of treasure.
Happiness!
Now get out there in search of what makes you happy...

lace in the sunlight

I have recently been going through old photo files and have noticed a common thread. As soon as I see the sun streaming through tattered and worn lace I need to capture the moment. There is something special about the way light gets filtered through old linens.
I thought I would share a few...

I always have vintage linens available in my retail shop,
as well as at

It's amazing how sunlight appears to magically mend even the most worn fabric and make it look flawless through the lens of a camera. It's no secret that I adore all things vintage...the color white...sun-filled rooms and tattered worn linens.
I hope you will pull some of your torn treasures out of your cupboards and appreciate their beauty by the light of day...
